Animations Archive

Here is an archive of some animations I have made so far. While more will come, this is what I have now. Turning days into seconds is a challenge, and a great one at that.

SAKUGA MAD // Genesis Verses; 1 and 2

I have many inspirations in which I quite literally draw from, however (if you couldn't already tell), those of Japanese origin are especially paramount to the processes of my creations. The art of anime - which is Japanese animation - is something I have loved ever since I was a little kid. From watching Dragon Ball Z my nana's house before bed time, to now throwing on an ep. of Cowboy Bebop after a long day of work, my infatuation stretches over a decade now. This past year I wanted to try my hand at making an animation of my own, and with Procreate's new animation feature I had all I needed. I loved every minute of the process, and was overjoyed to create something not too shabby. While I still have a lot to work on, I am glad to try my hand at something I have long adored.

For some context, "Sakuga" means "drawing" in Japanese, and MAD stands for: Music Anime Douga (Douga means video in Japanese). There are a good number of these Sakuga MAD collections across the internet, and now I have the beginnings of my own to offer.

FALLEN ONE // "...If so, I want wings."

Somehow, I only found out at the end of freshman year that my school offers the whole Adobe Creative Cloud to students for free. Who would've thought? Anyhow, after learning this, I was really excited. I had a recent edit that I made, and wanted to try something new with it animation wise.

While I don't have much exposure with video editing software (no, I won't count iMovie haha), why shouldn't I? It's the era of the creative Renissance Man after all, and being a polymath is needed to even be on the playing field. So, with my procreate edit in hand, I taught myself a little bit of Premier. It's not too long of an edit (one that I originally wanted to make an NFT - that's another story), but I am proud with how it turned out.

Always more to come, always perfecting.
